Classification of Fruit

In the field of botany a fruit is defined as the ripened ovary of a flowering plant which contains one or more seeds (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/fruit).  Fruit is classified based on their scientific characteristics.  There are four major classes of fruit: simple fruit, aggregate fruit, multiple fruit, and accessory fruit (http://www.buzzle.com/articles/fruit-types-list-of-fruits-by-type.html).
